    3am to 5am maf change

    Not sure if I'm in the right spot, but...

    Do you get any performance advantage changing from a 3am maf to a 5am maf?

    Also have a 3.9 computer if that helps??

    Running 92 Disco 3.5 manual.

    Hi...I'm sure I've read somewhere that they are the same MAF unit but one is a Lucas and the other is made by Hitachi. I could be wrong.....although I'm sure someone on here would have a definitive answer for you.....

    They are all Hitachi and AFAIK the same.
    The 5AM came in a "g" version which has gold contacts on the connector, which would be good.
