    where to sorce power steering box

    have pulled the power steering box out of my 2000 130 td5 defender and sent it away to be overhauled but have heard back that it needs a little more work then first thought...

    after looking around more on here i have found some people has said a new steering box can be had from the UK for about $700 - $800 landed.

    at the moment this is looking a fair bit cheaper and i have read i can upgrade to a needle roller version instead of the one with bushes in it.

    if anyone can suggest a supplier in the UK or even one here in AUS it would be a great help
    part numbers would be nice too

    it'll be a 4 bolt and you can get them at about that price from MR Automotive (they ship) or you could try LSD auto.. (they have a profile on here)

    I recently sourced a genuine 4 bolt box from the UK via LSD_Automotive.

    Very happy with their help, and the price!!!

    It was in the cost range that you anticipate.

    Plus LSD can set up a kinda private eBay listing for you to use Paypal if you prefer, just for added security with payments.
