I have just changed my boot today(P38) it took a fair bit of twisting and pulling, after 4-5 minutes she came off.
I got my boot from the UK as well and the quality control was not to good on the boot the O ring that sizes the boot around the handle was broken by the needle that stitched the sucker up and i had to replace two of the staples as well! not happy jan

Hi Robert
changed mine couple of weeks ago , dead easy , you have to start at the consul end of the boot , there is a wire frame that you have to spring out then roll the boot up over the brake lever handle and there is a rubber ring that holds the boot onto the handle flick that off and slide boot off over handle. easy peasy
