Another way to drop a box

Thought it might be of interest to some one. Have gotten around to getting the gear box out of the ute for the third time Thought I would stop and take some pic`s this time as I knew it would be some time before it all goes back together. I was given a A frame set up that a former Defender owner made. He also had to remove his Defender gear box several times.

This is the business end of the set up. Good point is you can freely move the gear box along the pipe.

This the A frame that hold this end up. The pipe just screws into a pipe socket. So is easy to set up.

    Thumbs up

I have been removing (dropping) gearboxes thru the floor on numerous vehicles over the years. I use to roll my engine crane in thru the passenger side door of my Chev tilt bed truck to drop it. I had to change clutches every couple of months and got the gearbox drop out and clutch replace and box back in in about 2 hours.

I like the idea of the roller in this application.
