    2a starter motor

    Hi Guys,
    I have an ex army 2a long wheelbase in stock condition the problem is the gear and appropriate parts come of the front of the starter occassionally when I try to start it and I have to slide the bell housing back and retrieve the parts from the bottom of the housing and resemble the front of the starter. What is a good replacement starter for the 2a engine, this one has a remote solenoid.

    any of the series 4 pot petrol starters will do the job for you.

    the most likely cause of your failure is the C clip failing, its not hard to fix.
