Pulled the tail shaft with its crook uni's, out of customers 2A, after removing it out of the way, I had a fiddle with the pinion into his salisbury diff, tried to turn it to test the preload on the pinion bearings and I can't budge it by hand.
Where's my workshop manual?

Pulled out the front diff, cleaned up the mating surfaces and bunged it back in (it's wept oil out for years and today seemed like the day to fix it), all while listening to the Test Match.
If only every day was Sunday with a Land Rover in the shed and cricket on the ABC.....

After detecting oil in the injector harness of the Defender yesterday afternoon, I ordered a replacement harness. I then removed the offending harness, cleaned all connections, checked wiring continuity, replaced harness and all was working as per normal once again.

So today I dropped around to my local Landy mechanic to collect my now, no longer needed, new injector harness only to discover that a friend with a D2A had exactly the same problem. So the last hour was spent fitting the new injector to my friend's Disco.

Now we are both good and able to attend this gathering http://www.aulro.com/afvb/lre-nsw-ge...-2012-bbq.html tomorrow.

		1. Picked up my new set of wheels with +6mm offset, took them to a mates tyre shop and had 315/75/16 tyres fitted.

2. Trial fitted on one side of my Disco. The rear has a camel cut and they fit ok. Front gets about a quarter of a turn before hitting guard lol. May need some angle grinding. It was hot so I've left that for later. Instead decided to clean all the mud and clay from under the vehicle while it was on jacks and the wheels were off. Disco is now about 5kg lighter!

Next weekend is angle grinding, fit flares and take it for a test run.
