Woke up to sign off a package from CLR for Series parts. After breakky it was out with the hose and pressure cleaner, washing both my Landies.
Pulled down the 2a's front passenger side drum brake to sort a leak-the brake cylinder is the culprit, adjusted wheel bearings while I was in there, sanded, cleaned and painted a heap of things-2 tins of spray paint exhausted. The underside of the bonnet grows froggy green instead of Landy green with grey undercoat!
Headed over to Karcraft where I bought a few hundred dollars of stuff-brake cylinder, door seals, bushes and other perishable parts, as well as a pile of parts for the County's upcoming suspension rebuild.
Then refoamed the County driver's seat base-what a pain that was. Started pulling down the back door on the County to fit my Rijidij wheel carrier-frame is cracked, rusty, generally tired. Going to learn welding in the next few weeks so that'll be a project to come. Hit a stumbling block with the wheel carrier install...darkness..so finished up with two quick jobs-replaced cracked stop light and fitted new panel/interior light switch.

Changed rear shocks after 12 years and 200,000k of ownership.
Not a damn thing wrong with them, original and as far as i can tell 320,000k on them. Stamped LAND ROVER parts one rubber was shot.
Replaced them with BOGE.
Changed the Trans fluid and replaced a tail pipe rubber hanger.
Off to Mudgee in the morning and then down to Nowra.

Put my number plates on. Finally on the road:D. Now to have the rust done:(

The D2 now has new rotors, pads and springs took me 5 1/2 hours after work. Didn't get to bleed the system though, that can wait a week or so.
Loving the new springs even after only half hour of bedding in the brakes.

Last weekend I fitted the Raptor steel binnacle for the instrument cluster and a new Roverdrive. The binnacle is a great unit and good to get rid of the piece of plastic crap with cracks and broken bits
Haven't hit the road with the overdrive yet but am looking forward to trying it out:D

I fixed the rear door lock mech ds rear door lock mech and ds front door mech. Also thought about measuring out for my storage box/drawer system and fridge slider but decided against it. Took it to work played in some mud and tore off what's left of my exhaust. So it's off to get a new one now.

Hello,
Today removed the transferbox, and bolts for the flex plate ready to drop autobox tommorrow. Have lots of small jobs to do, then refit Ashcroft torque converter, and put it all back together. Found the big black bung on the front of the engine (in front of cam chain) is almost falling out and oil everywhere anyone else had this. It has been quite trying as doing it myself:o.
