What did you do on your Landy today?

Overhauled swivel hubs on my 2 door. Found the right hand side swivel ball and housing to be completely munched- no wonder it was leaking! Someone in the past obviously blew a CV and kept driving for quite some time. Gouged out the swivel housing and in turn destroyed the swivel ball (under side, where you can't really see it). Now to find a replacement hub assy :(

Also tried fitting hd steering arms- drag link was seized to pitman arm. Got drag link off pitman arm- couldn't get drop link off drag link- cut drag link lengthways in hope that would get it off.. nup :(

fitted a new fuel lift pump, delphi, not britpart.makes a difference to fuel consumption when you fix the leak. four new cooper st max 225/75/16, oils in trans, diffs gear box, and just got back from a 4thou km road trip from the pilbra to southwest and all about, also bought some grate mates from a place in mandurah, besides being 120$ a pair, they are in my own opinion alot better than max trax, now the old girls needs a service and bottom rad hose seeping fixed

Took it for a good run - 700km over the last couple of days.

ordered a brake seal kit apart from that ignored her completely - she is going to start to sulk if I do that for much longer

fitted some koni raid's and a set of lovells springs

Went for a drive to get some firewood down some wet red clay roads. Awesome fun with a tonne in the trailer! Might have to get the karcher out tomorrow.

Repaired a cracked turbo heatshield mount.

Pulled the head off a TD5 '99 SW Defender yesterday.
The block has eroded between number five cylinder and the rear water galley, the head does look good.

Options now being looked at;

Getting the block decked and the head skimmed and crack tested.
Replacing the motor with a complete 2nd hand from a wreck.
