Revived my bricked ECU and loaded up a new map. Started fitting the power fold mirrors that arriced this afternoon![]()
Finally got around to fixing my vague steering. Key parts were A-frame ball joint and a steering box adjustment. Now my Landy stays straight when I want it to, and turns when I turn the wheel!! Woohoo!
Also started drilling holes in the bull bar for my new driving lights, but only had a cordless drill and the battery went flat.![]()
Finally got around to fitting my new fenix alloy radiator - sweet
Not today, but yesterday took the trailer to Roxburgh Park to pick up an outdoor dining setting (well its going to be outdoor now). The amount of streets that have been closed there (even on a recently updated proper GPS not just my mobile one)... resulted in some mucking about and an error injudgement had me having to perform a tricky reversing manouver in front of about 20 auction goers in a tight nowhere to go culdesac. Pretty to look at, and plenty of money down there, but that place is a bloody rats nest lol
Did the 5,000 km service, oil change, filter, centrifical filter, removed the heat shielld , retensioned the exhaust manifold , usual suspects below tension, checked the secret hose, regreased the front drive shaft, sprayed degreaser above & below the engine & hosed off, trying to find the annoying oil leak, but most importantly, put the RM Williams seat covers on the front seats, Choice, Bro! Had to break the news to the big dog, no more rides in the front any more. Did not go over well, Bob [ ps 351, 162 km's , and counting]
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
Well i took the D4 for a run to the shops as my van was parked in,wouldn't start at the shops.Eventually did & it is in the carport, off to the stealers next week
First problem with D4,hopefully the last!
Helped son with TD5 disco(which was mine,should have kept it,only got 98K on it),replaced oils,diffs,T/C,engine,filters.All good.
Noticed oil leak looks like from injector harness plug on engine, suppose it needs injector harness replaced, job for MR auto.Brake pads also low, original fronts will need doing shortly.Rears have been done before & are about half worn.Rotated tyres, forgot to change fuel filter, there are two in the shed, will do that shortly.
