When I hit over 2.5k revs it shudders and chokes (for want of a better word.) It is best described as the following:
vrooom, gasp, vroom, gasp, vroom, gasp.
It wont push past that rev range, and the "gasp" sounds like the turbo venting (is that how you'd say it?). With MAF disconnected it's back to normal (well the normal I've had lately).
When I bought this D2, the low grunt had been acknowledged by the previous owner, and his "mechanic" had said "that's just the way some of these are..." meaning he had no idea how to fix it and I assume he's adjusted the turbo to try and fix it.
Now I have what I presume is a working MAF, any adjustments they may have done would be incorrect.
Can anyone help me decide if I'm on the right track here? And link to any relevant threads or turbo adjustment info.
Cheers.
