    Freelander trailer light issues

Hi all. Have a 2007 FL2 with 2 factory fitted trailer outlets on the back.
Firstly I was wondering why 2? One is white.
Am having trouble though with the output. Getting a constant blinker signal on one terminal irrespective of left or right signal given? I checked fuses and the plug on my trailer is definitely right. Any ideas?

As I understand it Landrovers have trailer wiring in accordance with European specs and not Aust Specs - I believe the second socket is North American Specs. You will also find that each tail light has its own power supply and one of these wires is the same colour as electric brakes for trailers so can cause issues.

There is plenty on the issues in the D3/D4/RRS section as they same issues crop up there - do a search there and all should be explained.

    Cheers

I'm pretty sure the trailers wired correctly, and I believe the black plug should be aust standard. Don't seem to be getting any signal at the black plug, let alone to the trailer. I checked the trailer fuses in the rear compartment and fine. I then thought maybe the fuse feeding the rear fuse panel but if that was the case all of the other accessories (seats etc) operating from the rear fuse panel wouldn't work. Completely stumped?
