    Electrical Woes

I'm having a few electrical problems with my 1997 D1 V8 since I installed my new UHF radio on Friday.

It worked fine on Saturday however today the UHF radio and my Engine Saver are not working.

I have got my trusty multimeter out and found there is 12v at the connector to the UHF radio. The power for the Engine Saver comes off a Wire Tap Fuse which replaced the fuse to the car's radio. The radio on the car works fine and everything else seems to be okay.

Any ideas as to what might be going on? Is this a sign on a bad wire/earth connection somewhere? Everything else seems to be okay at the moment...

When you say there 12 volts at the plug are you checking it with the earth probe in the plug too?
And if there is 12 volts at plug on the radio, Plug the radio back in and see if there is still 12 volts there when there is a load applied ? you may need to bare a little bit of wire to do this, some times a fuse holder / Fuse will be stuffed and allow 12 volts through with no load, but as soon as a load is applied it breaks down and will not run the accessory.?
    Good Luck
