What is a good brand oil and fuel filter. I use to run Ryco a lot in the past but been hearing some bad stuff about them. Any ideas?

    More info please? V8-TDI-TD5-TDV6??
Like most oil filters made in OZ they probably get made at Ryco anyway even though the brand stamped on it my say otherwise.

There are other brands than ryco or valvoline filters. You could check out the likes of Fram, Donaldson, Ac delco, Fleetguard and lots more. Try a place that only sells oil or a place that sells truck parts. When I used oil filters I got Donaldson from a oil mob. Don`t use them now as the ute has a gauze filter.

just head to MR automotive and utter the magic words..

    "I'd like a filter kit for a TD5 please"

answer any questions they have and then accept the parts they give you after you swipe the card.

Ryco are not made in OZ, in fact no filters are. Ryco are made in sth africa or asia AFAIK.

Personally, I try not to use Ryco.

MANN+HUMMEL (MANN Filter), Donaldson and Fleetgard make the best filters IME. MANN FILTER make some of the OEM TD5 filters (e.g. oil centrifuge).

Mann and hummel make all the filters for the TD5...

I suggest if you are buying from online you buy theirs.
