    Autologic Td5 Chipping

    Gday, i was just wondering if anyone has had anything to do with Autologic Td5 chipping for performance upgrades ? it will be for a 2001 Td5 130
    there is a local mechanic place in town that has all the equipment to do it and it seems like what i think is a reasonable price (roughly $500) but to be honest i havent priced any other brand of performance upgrade yet, so any info would be appreciated

    Just had a quick looky through the website

    Autologic-Diagnostics -LAND ROVER Performance Tunes

    Have a squiz here

    Every variant has been covered, therefore every vehicle can be tuned as soon as it arrives at the workshop. The only exceptions are Td5 engines manufactured before 2002, as these control units are not programmable.
    Not sure how true it is just thought I might mention it

    Yeah Thanks Jock i saw that, but when i was speaking to him and told him it was a 2001 from my understanding he reckons he can do the earlier "non-flashable" ECU's not sure how or weather he ment it had to be replaced or exchanged but he reckoned to do mine it would be roughly $500 or so.

    Hey Adrian, hope that trans leak is OK now?

    The non flash ECU will have to be opened up and a chip holder soldered to the circuit board, to take an EEPROM ('Electronically Eraseable Programmable Read Only Memory' chip )that can then be flashed with a program.

    A bit more than $500 IIRC as there is a bit of mucking about to do.
