Stage one CDL repair and photos

As I posted in I hate seeing myself on video but had to be done My CDL in the stage one was shot, centre spider gears were no longer. After accepting a kind offer from a fellow aulroian for the purchase of a replacement(photo 1). There is, so I found out from this gentleman, that an upgrade is possible which he had done already (photo 2,3)p.s TYVM djam1.
All has been fitted and the stage one is driving nice.......for now.

Small bits of advice I would give if you have to do this job.
    1. take out rear tail shaft then remove speedocable then the whole housing you dont have to take the brake off at all shaft comes out of CDL with the whole housing

    2. Just drop the diff end flange of front tail shaft (you dont need to remove prop shaft from front cover of transfer case

3.Take ur CDL vacuum actuator off then remove whole front housing and prop shaft all in one

    4. it should just come out from the rear of transfer case

    Refitting trick

I removed the front bearing and front gear from CDL and held them thru the front of casing, then slid the CDL spline into the gear as the intermediate gears make it hard to slot without taking em off (it can be done but i found easier to do it this way) one hand hold bearing and gear from front and input CDL into casing from back.

Hope that makes some sense to you. My no. is 0415 919 380 if you are reading this and you have this task infront of you feel free to call I might be able to elaborate further for you.
