found out the injectors are not all the same you have to have the right injector in the right spot and i had one injector plug on the fuel temp sensor and its plug on an in injector it ran super rich
sent it to a rover mech who giggled said seen it before swapped injectors around to correct spots and fixed the wiring and wow its never gone this well

dont suppose at any time you fitted a pressure gauge to the Fuel Rail ? Seen 70 PSI there with a pinched return Line ,that will do what you say is happening .
What is the condition of your ignition system ,What amp, what plugs, what leads, what static and running advance retard. Also seen this when Dizzy cap spring loaded carbon brush pops out!!Earthed out rotor button?
