just my 2 cent worth i had a 3.9 that was using water so stripped her down and had the heads serviced she is a dual fuel car was running ok other than the head gasket leak on reassembly i thought i had all conections right but i stuffed it up even with the help of a manual .now i work on a lot of vehicles but it ran like **** used heaps of petrol and didnt run right on lpg . i did know rover real well
found out the injectors are not all the same you have to have the right injector in the right spot and i had one injector plug on the fuel temp sensor and its plug on an in injector it ran super rich
sent it to a rover mech who giggled said seen it before swapped injectors around to correct spots and fixed the wiring and wow its never gone this well
