$120 for the sealed unit from MR Automotive (about 3 weeks ago)
$69 for a genuine rocker gasket.
    Cheers, Dave.

Andy it will leak again unless you seal it. Karcraft are the best to supply. Get some 3 Bond gasket sealant, much better than RTV. Ring me tomorrow and I will let you know what type and seal it up. If you get stuck let me know I have 2 cleaned ones in the shed and no matter what anyone says they do clean up and I can send one down. It does take a while to get all of the oil out of the Main Harness, I sealed and replaced mine 500kms ago and still have a bit of oil coming out. Not interfering with the running though. I know the harness is sealed properly as there is no oil in the round plug.
    Cheers

    Hi Andrew,
I can't vouch for the product but at least it is here in Oz if it lets you down.
This is where I will be going if and when I get the 'oil in harness issue'.

I would clean the loom as described in several posts and just replace the harness.

    Cheers,

Had it before with the D2 Craig.
Spraying the head and ECU plugs with CO cleaner has made it run correctly again,I have left the ECU seal out.
The D2 has what I was told was the improved design harness, hasnt been a problem since.
Will order a new one and be done with it,fix it once.
    Thanks

The so called improved design harness is in fact no different. I have bought 2 of the so called improved design. It seems what people term improved design is you buy a new harness and while it is new seal it yourself.
When I replaced the last one I actually had all 3 out on the bench and there is no difference between any of them. The latest one was only replaced in October. What I did do was seal it completely with three bond sealant. ATM I have no oil getting into the plug connector at the head. Having only done about 500kms since replacing I am still getting some residual oil at the ECU plug even though I did flush it with metho. It seems it takes a little bit to get out all residual oil, though has not really interfered with the way the car runs.
I have actually cleaned and soaked the 2 old units and sealed them up as spares also, so if I need them I should be able to use them.
I am not sure where or what the term improved design refers to because it is not anything the manufacturer has done. Though the new one took a few years to contaminate again.
