You will have boost leak, plug the hose. Can't be too hard to get a replacement hose even if you have to splice a piece into your existing one using some metal/plastic tube as an internal joiner, you could even use a cable tie to clamp the hose onto the joiner.
Yes without the compensator you will not deliver enough fuel to the engine once the turbo spins up and builds boost, which will be slower due to the lack of fuel. This will result in a loss of power. No real ill effects that I can foresee although I am no turbo diesel expert.



), I've managed to jam the boost compensator line against the block. Short story... after the test sprint to check alls well, big hole melted in tube, lovely turbo whine eminating from under bonnet.
