    Oil additives, why ?

BTW, if ATF is specced a good Agri fluid as mentioned above contains higher levels of EP and AW additives, ie. you'll get less wear in use.

a simple transfer pump powered by a cordless drill works very well indeed. Simply flush with 100ml kero when you're finished.

You guys do know that BW recommend ATF and that they made the things.

And that applies to the millions they have made for the various yank trucks.
LR are not shy on changing specs if they feel the older stuff doesn't do the job. Just look at the unobtanium they recommend for the new stuff.

The problem with thicker oils AFAIK is that BW have an oil pump which can be damaged. What is the Vi of Moreys/Lucas.

I have had a pump shaft break in an LT95 from too thick oil.
And I like Lucas chain lube which made my Honda Hornet chain last over 30KK . But I sometimes think it is the attitude to maintenance that is the decider on these things.
Ps I have added at various times a small bit of Teflon and some Moly.

If you guys like Lucas why not us ethis.
