An expert could give you a more professional answer, but the main difference is the need to apply a coat of etching primer to the bare aluminium panels before the main coats are applied. Once done it is pretty straighforward.
Most paint shops can advise you of what you will need - failing that a good boat outlet that sells or repairs painted ally hulls.

No it doesn't - well at least my S1 and S2 panels didn't. It is rather soft and easy to beat to shape, so if you are used to beating steel you will find that it stretches very quickly,Originally Posted by swivelrat
