Hi Steve, My '96 model has a white strainer type filter to strain new fluid you add to the reservoir only. '95 models are the same. tis also suposed to stop any dirt coming through the breather in the cap.
Regards Shane.
Do the round black plastic PAS reservoirs from D1's etc have an internal filter?
I've read various posts about some PAS reservoirs having filters but there is no mention of any filter in my D1 RAVE manual.
I'm about to fit a new steering box so if there's a filter in the reservoir I'll replace it at the same time.
Steve

I think the filter cannot be removed as it is moulded into the res somehow . That's probably why rave doesn't mention it as it's not a replaceable part
I checked microcat and there is no separate filter shown, just a complete assembly of the reservoir
Hi, For interest the white strainer filter in the top of the PAS Reservoir does pull out with small amount of force for cleaning .
P.S Wifes Saab 900s has same PAS Resevoir but no Strainer filter.
Thanks guys.
I was thinking it was fitering the return fluid from the pump/box so could potentially become clogged over the years, but if its just a filter for external debris then I wont worry about replacing it.
