Anyone know where to get Champion RSL24 Spark Plugs?

I have a friend with an Auster aircraft with a Cirrus engine which uses shielded plugs and leads. The specification is for Champion RSL24 plugs.

The rumour is that some FFR Land Rovers used the same plug, however the usual suspects, Dunsfolds, Marcus Glenn and P.A. Blanchard only have Champion RSL10 and Champion RSL87Y in their catalogues.

Any idea of a source for these rare Champion RSL24 plugs or an equivalent?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Write begging letters/emails to Champion Aerospace, as they were originally an aviation .spark plug company.

Or try here:- Champion Aerospace ยป Product Catalogs

You could try aircraft mechs who work with vintage planes, hopefully for a substitute.

I have flown one....which is NOT a comment on my Vintage, as the owner was Much older than me....
    - Auster pilots quickly learn the value of approaching high & steep on finals... - The engines have a bit of a reputation for stopping when you least expect it..... a.k.a. The Shrt Fld Landng...

Most of the Austers have a Gypsy Major engine, this one us unusual because it has the Cirrus engine and hence has more difficulty in acquiring parts.

My friend's family have a number of vintage aircraft (including another Auster with a Gypsy Major donk) and know most of the usual suspects, but are still havng difficulty acquiring the plugs. Hence their contact to me on the "also used in Land Rover radio vehicles" rumour.

    Will try the link.
