Didn't just run a single shock through the spring? Iguess thats not as effective as to the chassis.... but that limits articulation if needed.

Go back to page 3 post #18 and this is the WW2 Krupp Protze 6x4 rear bogie suspension mentioned. First entered Military service in 1933.another example of ''there is nothing much new in the world of engineering''
