Help to ID a td5 long range tank

Can anyone tell me if this long range tank is D2 or defender?
I picked it up ages ago with the idea of using it on my '85 110 (after modifying for gauge sender and pickup etc. I'm sure it was advertised as a Defender tank otherwise I wouldn't have bought it.
Manufacturer is Brown Davis, and capacity is around 130L by my calcs.

Turns out there's no way it will fit, so either the later defenders had quite a different chassis around the fuel tank than my County does, or the tank is actually a D2 one

    Anyone shed some light????

Sorry about the photo orientation in the last one...

Don't know the answer, but if its for a D2a, I'd be interested

I just fitted an Long Ranger to my Defender TD5 and the mounts looked exactly the same.
I would suspect that it is a LDER4 Tank at 130 Litres.

Most definately not from a Disco.

This is Disco2 main tank replacement - different mounts, pump location etc.

I would also say a defender although the rear fixings are different from a longranger.

Thanks all. I've just found a photo on the web of a Long Range Automotive td5 defender tank and the front mount looks just like my photos.

Bugger - that will teach me to assume the earlier diesels and the td5 have the same tank mounts

In case its useful info for someone else, I found the original eBay email from when I bought the it. It came out of a '99 Td5 110, so that would make it a Brown Davis LDER3 130L tank.
The tank is now on its way to a new owner
