roof lining for Discovery 1 in Melbourne

G'day - anybody know a roof lining person to carry out this work for me please?
Also - if you want to re-tighten the vinyl on your older visors ... give them a slow workover with your paint stripping gun.

    Cheers

Any automotive trimmer should be able to do the headlining.

I got my Defender headlining done some years ago by
Mega Trim 21 Cheltenham Road, Dandenong. 9792 9952

I saved money by removing the headlining panels myself but they will do a drive-in drive-out service.

    Sounds about right.
$300 ish if you take the roof panels to them, and then getting towards $600 if you get them to do all the work.

Give them a call and ask because it was years ago I got mine done.....

If you go to your local LR mechanic, they may be able to recomend a trim shop. This is a common problem, so they will probably know one.

The prices stated previosly sound about right... if you do all the pre and post work yourself (removal and fitting, only takes up a couple of hours) you can probably get the cost down to about $200. (Which is what I recently paid up here in Sydney a month ago on my P38)

A good trimmer, experienced in Land Rover headliners, is Steve Dodd at Classic Motor Trimmers, 6/477 Maroondah Highway, Ringwood, just past Car City. His phone number is 9879 4932.

He does good work. You can save a few bob by taking the liner just about completely out, hang it by a couple of clips, then take the whole car, unload the liner and then return when the job is complete.

Far and away the easiest way to move the thing!

Any suggestions for near Ferntree gully?
I know that Ringwood is not that far but I've just had Skin Cancer surgery and can't drive that far at the moment. Other option is to get it done later.

    Cheers
