Have you drive to any of the tailshafts? There might be a certain amount of drag in the front diff to turn the shaft but not vice versa.
If no drive to either tailshaft, remove the back cover of the transfer case & check the gearbox output shaft splines. They & the transfer input gear splines wear out from a lack of lubrication (if the oil feed mod hasn't been done).


) and took out the tailshaft and ive been driving round in front wheel drive with the centre diff lock in.
) and thinking it was the front diff started pulling the front end apart till i found that it wasnt the front diff, nor the CVs or axles as the front propshaft turns when i turn the front tyres, as does the handbrake drum.
