Hey g2landyman,
Just wondering where did you get a 300tdi stud kit from? Do you have a part number for this kit? And also if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost?
Thanks Geeman!!
Hi all, an update on the Stud kit I fitted to my disco's head all went well felt much better than original bolt set, I have done 450km since head was shaved 010" thou, and valves re-seated. The engine is running sweet again, I also set the fuel pump back to factory spec and is very slightly down on power, but is great. So I am happy for now considering this head overheated a few time's as I limp 80kms to a town on a holiday trip. Good rovering to all

These are hi-preformance racing part of high qualitity and easy to install
if you need more info I can email you if you like regards G2
Any time you use ARP studs, make sure to get ARP lube as well. They developed it to give the most reliable torque readings. Part #100-9908.
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.
Did you have to machine anything on the head to get the stud kit to work? Also what torque settings did you use? (same as LR bolt settings).
cheers Geeman
Hi Studs fitted with out any mods to head, but I holesawed two hole's in panel above last 2 head studs (rear) for ease off installation, use grommets too blank panel, you use allen key to install studs,
Torque = 70 ft lb with arp lube for 10mm studs 12mm =90ft lb if using 30w oil to lube 10mm stud =75-80 ft lb 12mm = 120 ft lb ( info from ARP) I use 30w all felt very good.
If you want too do this I can email you copy of invoice and give you email address of sales person too regards G2.
Stud kits has been my preferance when building engine's for myself and others
P.s torque values for head, studs installed hand tight, the 12mmx 6.115" studs where seated and the backed off 1/8 inch (ARP spec) as they are made for different engine and are longest available.
All went well I am very happy![]()
thanks for that!!
Im currently working on a 300tdi conversion on my 94 RRC, Im going to order a new performance head from tuner engineering, get a custom copper head gasket made up, and i'm looking into o-ringing the block so I can run up to 30psi of boost without blowing a gasket. Im planing on running a compound turbo setup a gt15 blowing into a gt28r, this way I have high boost down low and high boost up high. hopefully!!!! if my research is right should go really good or not haha!!!
cheers Goran
