Defender windscreen washer jet - adjustable?

    Hi All

Bit embarrassing, but anyway my old jet fell apart so I fitted a new one, tried to adjust the jets but the don't seem to budge, don't wanna force them. Are they adjustable? (Every other car I have had they are adjustable and take very little force.)

    ok bye

Amazing, of all the things someone else would be doing today. Mine were not working but a bit of spray on the connectors to the pump got them going.

Then the drivers side was blocked, so in with a pin to clear it.

Here it is, I thought I would try and adjust them, I could not budge them.

So that makes two of us

well it was either that or do the pitman arm ball joint, in this rain id rather do this job, hehe,

the windscreen washing system is pretty woeful - esp on a car that is expected to go and get dirty, hehe, i am amazed at how much water ends up on the windscreen when the front wheels hit a puddle, you think it would get sprayed out, seems to get sucked in instead

That's caused by the highly developed aerodynamic and wind tunnel tested body shape of a Defender

yep you guys - they are adjustable. Maybe dribble a bit of WD40 on the metal part - its like an eyeball - round bit but metal - I use a piece of fine stainless wire that just fits in the hole and then lever them around to adjust, but a little bit of movement gives a lot of adjustment. And be careful - you can crack the casing real easy. Have fun
