300 TDI water pump(disco)
Hi all,
Was changing the brake pads on mates Disco 300tdi yesterday and this morning.Had to move it this morning so I didnt get wet and noticed a nice squell coming from under bonnet.
Went for a drive after fitting pads, its seems like the water pump is on its way out.Smelt very hot after a 20K drive up to shops and back. Also thats where the squell is coming from.
Is it easier getting one from the UK(read cheaper) than one from here in Oz.
He doesnt drive it much @ the moment, just up to shops/school and back home.so hopeing he wont do any other damage.
Have had a look at Rave CD and it seems pretty easy to do.Any hints as to what to look out for would be much appreciated.
cheers

leaky P
Don't forget to do the 'P' gasket at the same time.
When the long bolts to the water pump are released, it disturbs the tension on the 'P' gasket and it can leak.
