    Mainshaft input bearing removal/refit.

Hiya all,My Series 3 gearbox has a mainshaft input bearing that is past it's used by date.My hiccup is that in my L/R workshop manual shows and describes the
bearing retaining plate fixed by nut's and spring washer's.
My bearing plates are different they are retained by the same type of fixings as
used on the layshaft retaing plate.Any ideas would be most helpful.
    Thanks to all.

I have several workshop manuals that cover series three's.

First, can you tell me what the part number is for your book?
As all of the Land Rover manuals have their own individual part number.
Then I can most likely be able to sort out the difference for you.
