Look behind the exhaust manifold, there is a threaded plug there and is a common source of coolant leaks. From memory the plug is between the 3 and 4th exhaust ports.
Hi there,
Have a leak on the LHS of the engine ,seems to be midway along the engine block.
Have had a good look but can't find the spot.
Have tightened all obvious hose clips on that side, well the ones I could find anyway.Had small leak on RHS but managed to fix that.
Help appreciated.

I would be willing to bet that the little manifold that the top radiator hose connects to the head through has corroded. It's an aluminium fitting, bolts onto the head with 3 bolts and has the temp sender in it. Bit of a PITA to get on and off (need a 3/8 drive socket set with a uni joint).
This happened to our a while ago, just a pin sized hole but it pumped the coolant out, had i not been standing next to the car when mum pulled up and saw a faint wisp of steam and heard the thermo fan still running she would have cooked it ...
Cheers
Will
