I bought one from eBay, cost about $20 delivered. Worked fine. I haven't used it since.

I did hear you the first time JC ...and I am. I like to have all bases covered. I can't afford to start this and get stuck half way through...plus I want to remove and rebuild the old arm and steering box if possible. Have to learn these things some how.

I assume from all this that FBH means 'very large hammer'. I wish youse blokes would speak propper.

Couldn't agree more. Save your money, loosen the big nut right off and belt the arm where it 's on the tapered spline with a ****ing big hammer and it will pop off. If it doesn't pop off you haven't hit it hard enough. For really stubborn ones use a 2 lb. hammer on each side and strike together. Never fails. Just done the Deefer and no problems. Same process works equally as well with tie rod ends, you 'bounce' the tapered piece out by flexing the tapered hole with the hammer(s).

    Pullers are for pusseys!!

I should have said that that's what I did as well! For the same reason: I didn't have the time for mucking about with the balljoint and whatever else.
