    Windscreen rubber

I need to replace the screen on my 85 county 110. The rubber seems like a one piece arrangment and will need replacing I expect if I'm to get the screen in without cracking it. I also imagine a genuine rubber would be expensive and I'm short on $. I'm thinking of getting a generic window rubber from Clark or somewhere but I'm concerned it won't fit for some reason or that I might have to get the screen cut a slightly different size to match the different rubber profile.
Any clues anyone, before I go pulling the old screen in this wet melbourne weather?

My inclination would be to use a genuine rubber, although I know they are expensive. The windscreen is widely available as it has remained unchanged for almost thirty years, and it is unlikely that you will get one cut (and marked as required) for as little as one ready made, let alone save the difference in cost of using a generic rubber. And generic rubbr mouldings from Clark Rubber are not that cheap either!

However, shop around - I have had widely varying quotes for the windscreen!

I had the screen replaced in my County a few years ago, the windscreen company (I think it was O'Brians) cut it to size and from memory it was around $250.00.
Best to try a couple of companies to get a price.

Last one I got was $200 fitted in 2005. From memory that was the lowest in the Canberra/Yass area, and the highest was about $350. This did not include a new rubber, I seem to remember that was around $80, and I decided to stick with the old one.

Jason, The rubbers are regularly on ebay for around $65-$70. Best to stick with the genuine one. As said Clark rubber aren't that cheap.
