after soem handy tip for improving my RRC

on the weekend went for a wheel up at 5 rocks - it was rainy which sucked a bit.

I had the upper tailgate open whilst we fixed a problem on my mates baja.
I noticed the rain had leaked down the 'cover' for the wires to the rear demister and their was a steady stream and puddle in the back of the car...
anyone had this problem/come up with a solution?

Also the heater core. I've replaced this 3 times and every time it leaks, is there a better version or something I can do to make sure I don't have to pull it apart again....

here's a big of the old girl & trip:

I make sure not to leave the rear hatch up in the wet. I also moved to a drier climate and that helped.

If you are blowing heater cores, it could be your cooling system pressurising. Head-gasket?

    ha-ha yeah i guess that's a simple solution....

yeah not sure, maybe i wont be cheap and buy a new one next time, instead of leak testing...I don't have any other issues with the cooling system, never blown a head gasket *touch wood* and had the heater bypassed for a while now. just wanted the heater back on the weekend cause it was a bit chilly...
