Roof Lining on the Gold Coast?

I wasn't sure where to post this as it's not technical nor is it specific to D2's.

Anyway, I need to replace the sagging roof lining on my D2.
Can someone recommend a trimmer on the Gold Coast that they have had good service from.

Matty's Hood Linings is listed under "Recommended Supplier". I have been trying to contact Matt for the last two weeks without success, seems like he isn't in business anymore. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/queensland...od-lining.html

I called Currumbin Trimmers but they want the vehicle for two days.
I am not keen on sleepovers.

So before I just pick a trimmer from the Yellow Pages I thought I would ask the AULRO community.

Can't help you with a recommendation, but I am surprised they need the vehicle for two days. I had a Freelander done here in Newcastle and the trimmer only needed the car for the day. Did an excellent job too!!

I would believe the 2 day wait. I had the same problem with my D2 and due to our remote location, taking the car to an auto-trimmer was not an option. Long story short, I picked up the material and a couple of cans of 3M spray adhesive and job done. Not as good as a professional job and i am sure my eye will always be drawn to that wrinkle above the passengers head, but as i said, no auto trimmers here. All up $200 and a fairly neat job - much better that before! How much are they charging?

I used this guy a couple of years ago and felt that the price was good and the quality excellent.. only had the car for a half day (station wagon)..

He works from his home which may help him to keep pricing down.. it's only about a minutes walk to the Hyperdome so if you went there you could hang out there maybe while he did the job..

That's not bad. I paid $110 a couple of years back for a professional to do my P38A. I removed and refitted the shell.

My job on a FL1 was $330 and that was done on 5/4/11. You couldn't tell the difference from the original liner (in fitting,I mean) the new liner was a shade lighter but looked the better for it!!

I have used Currumbin trimmers to redo seats and canopy for my boat plus the dash, head liner and walls for my stage one/rangie hybrid (search for Bumblebee on here)

I would not go anywhere else as do good work, reasonable prices

And yes left the parts there overnight but more than happy.

I think they fit this work around other commercial work - hence the two days I guess - a lot of work to take a head lining out

89 Orange Rangie UTE - our play thing - sadly now sold
    75 Rangie/Series/Hybrid/LS3 - Bumblebee with a sting!!!!
