Most likely the A/C drains are blocked - find where the pipe comes out under the car and get them cleared - however they may reblock if there is gunk at the bottom of the A/C.

Hey all,
I've just noticed that water is leaking into the driver side floor, and also (a little) onto the passenger side floor of my discovery. Its a Feb 99 TDi (last of the series 1).
I'm trying to figure out if maybe the air conditioner is leaking, or if its only happening due to the recent rain (very early stages of the wet season up here in Darwin), but either way, its really wet under the carpet.
Has anyone had this problem, or can shed a bit of light?
Cheers
Barry

Hey Garry,
Thanks for the reply, I found the nipples earlier today and there was a bit of mud in there, but not totally blocked as water was still coming through. Any suggestions on what I can thoroughly clean them with? I didn't just want to stuff something up there or it might just clog it etc?
Cheers
Baz
I use a small spiral bottle brush on a very slow speed driver so it pulls stuff down and out.

Hey Ron,
No problems, was just trying to reach a further audience quicker.
I'll keep that in mind for next time![]()

I had the same problem on my 04 Disco. Followed everyone elses recommendations and it still continued (very appreciative for their help though) then I poured some water on the window seal and noticed it coming out the inside of the door. Pulled the door internal cover off and found the plastic weather seal had failed. A little bit of sikaflex and some "100 mile an hour tape" and problem solved.

Hi mate sounds just like the prob i had to fix a couple of months ago.at the bottom of you windscreen in the corners there are drains that run excess water down through your inner guard these run down the side wall of your footwell quarter panel.unfortunately these block up with leaf debry and start to rust out allowing water to run down the inside of the quarter panel and sit on your footwell floor thus rusting out your floor.Ijust had to cut out a big section of the footwell .I had the very same symptoms as you just described advice is get it fixed quickly or we will be calling you fred flinstoneregards Tony CELTIC4X4
