have you checked the auto oil level and condition yet?
if you have plenty of oil and are ready to make a mess uncouple the oil cooler at the front then start it up..
if its not moving oil Ive got nothing but bad news for you.

Don't know what the answer was to that thread - but I had the same symptoms on my 300tdi auto and it turned out (long story) to be stripped splines in the torque converter, which I then had rebuilt by a T/C specialist for around $200
