Unfortunately the answer is No... I explored this when rebuilding the top end of my 4.6 recently. There are a couple of reasons: the oil pump and the crank positioning sensor requirements.
In the post 1994 engines, the LR engineers changed the design of the oil pump so that it is positioned concentric with the end of the crankshaft. This has reduced space available for a second sprocket. Also the chain wheel has to accommodate the cam position sensor which protrudes through the front cover in close proximity to it. You can see the various slots machined into the inner part of the chainwhell to generate the positioning signal, in the pic in Post #18 here: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/p38a-range...et-time-2.html
In selecting the "one-size-fits-all" Morse type chain, there are two options: a so-called "stiff" chain and a "floppy" chain. "stiff" is betterIt's listed as such as ERC7929 in the Karcraft price list for a shade over $22 inc GST
