    HD Drive Flange Sealant

    Fellow Land Rover Brothers (and Sisters),

    I'm putting heavy duty drive flanges on the defender. What sealant are you supposed to use on the threaded caps to stop them coming off or leaking? I lost the instructions for the Hituff ones, and the Bearmach ones didn't come with any.

    I just use plumbers thread tape. Don't use any thread lock type product because you will never be able to get them undone again.

    I use Loctite 565 thread sealant.

    i use a little ultrablue, my instructions said not to use anything but they kept coming loose and ****ing oil out over the rims.
