    Madman ems1 300tdi set up

Hi, my weak point is electrical and in setting up my madman ems I just want to know I am doing the right thing.......I need to attach the power wire on the ems to my red ignition wire. And I also need to put an inline fuse in the wire as well. My question is where is the best place to tap in to the red ignition wire? Take out the ignition itself? Behind the dash? I am assuming that by tapping into the red ignition wire that will monitor my volts from the battery for the ems as well? Cheers Jamie

    Jamie,
I mounted my EMS in place of the clock on the dash of my RR Classic. I got the power wire from the ignition wire at the radio. My radio had one of those junction blocks with about a dozen wires aling it, and I just linked to the ignition wire. There is also an 'always on' wire. I avoided that.
Part of the attraction of using this power was that it was already fused in the fuse box, so no further fuses required.
    Hope this may help.
