    egt probe

    i am looking at installing an egt probe in the egr manifold blank on my td5, question is which one?.
    i have a madman1 available to connect too so only need the probe.

    would one of these do the job?

    I plan to install one shortly on a TD5 and connect to my madman EMS2, I have ordered the TD5 sensor kit. I know the mad man EMS is configurable but I think there is a preferred junction type, I'll check this out.
    I also plan to install my sensor on the manifold but just before the turbo, that way it senses exhaust from all 5 cylinders.

    this will work fine and is what I have installed on my car. I straightened the probe by very gently bending with support so when installed the tip is past the front couple of cylinders.
    Straight forward set up on the EMS by selecting the appropriate probe type.
