    Lightforce 240 Blitz - Higher rated globes?

    Gday

    I blew a globe in one of my Lightforce 240 Blitz's on the Ranger the other day

    I was just skimming through the Ashdown Ingram book, they list the replacement Lightforce globe as 100W

    They also list a 150W globe, just interested to hear from anyone who has fitted 150W globes ? Has it melted the front out of your lights or do they go alright?

    Tempted to try the 150W globes to see how much extra brightness I get

    Jock,
    I have the 140 Lightforce Lances, and they are fitted with an ABR HID replacement kit. The kits were $48ea on eBay,a nd very easy to fit.

    Using just my 140's and 2 18w LED lightbars, I do not desire any more light, and I do alot of km's at night along the Barkly and Stuart highways.

    Maybe this could be an alternative you could explore?

    Try this fella www.hid-lightsdownunder.com he will warn you against hid in the blitz as the reflector will discolour prematurely

    The Fyrlyts run osram 150W globes as std but they are designed specifically around them. They also **** on the 240's for color and output IMO. If HID's will discolor the reflectors then 150's will probably melt them off. They are significantly hotter than 100's let alone HID's
