Half shaft c clip how important is it and where can I get some on a weekend

How important are the half shoddy c clips as previous owner has broken half shafts then removed them but I am now missing c clip that goes on the end

Is that the c-clip that goes on the end of the axle outside the drive flange ?

If so very important. Shims should be under the c-clip and endfloat set.

I've got a spare c-clip and shims here if your stuck. (defender/disco 1?)

Yes that's the c clip I am talking about....

    Bummer.

You would think it would be included when you buy a kit of wheels bearing HD drive flanges and axles for the Salisbury rear axle aye.

For some reason I was thinking FRONT AXLE.
    REAR doesn't have shims.
    Circlip only.
    Circlips are the same front/rear.
I have 2 here but it's hardly worth the drive.

    MAYBE SUPERCHEAP OR BUNNINGS????
