    Hi,
The answer you are looking forward to is yes. The compressor housing on the 2260v can be spun around any wich way just like other turbos. Be aware that your orientation of the hot side (turbine) will need the oil flowing through it the right way (pressure fitting on the top and drain on the bottom). You can get away with a little tilt on this but any serious tilt will effect the draining of oil from the bearing in the centre.

    I hope this helps .

    Cheers,
    Brian.

GT2052V off a Nissan ZD30 looks pretty close to TD5 fitment already.

    Hello,
Why muck about !!!!!!!.. you can get a bolt on from either BAS or turbo technics part number S208a there are 2 types, for less than a $1000 with post, and have it in a week, bolt on and drive......no making flanges and seeing if it is set right......also need boost box and fuel map or it will not give you what you are looking...........just limp mode.
I installed a 3 inch S/S straight through even better.

Someone tried a VNT on a TD5 all those years ago (and probably got asked the same question) now people have the luxury of going to a shop and buying a kit it off the shelf. I am just researching what my options are at this point.
If I can push the boundaries of modification and share my experiences with others then we can all learn a little. The amount I have learnt about modifying cars from forums such as this is priceless in my book. I might have the opportunity to give back one day.

    Hello Mick,
Yes wholly agree forums are great especially this one. I do admire anyone try to do something not out of box, but sometimes it is a lots easier and cheaper to get one already made, was only trying to help maybe in not the right way. I also have gone down the idea's you are thinking about but the problems and cost is more than to get the 208s already made for what you want to do. I never stop experimenting with my car as a few people know. The list of little things never stops. I do write some of them here look them up the boost box could be very helpful to you with what you are doing.

Anyway best of luck getting a different one working, would be interested to read about it.

    Ian
