Dangling tube.
Hello all. I have just acquired a 1994 Discovery, 3.9 petrol V8 and auto box. It was a real bargain and as i intend some modifications for it, was not too concerned about the mechanics. It has the usual ****les; central locking, a little leak, sagging roofline and a little rust. But otherwise ok. Engine seems sound at 225000kms, although i find idle a bit too high and fuel consumption is high. Mixture might be too rich. I average 20l/100kms on 31" tyres and a 2" spring lift. It is awaiting its first major service( bought a bigger Purolator air filter and organic oil.). Going around the car once more this morning, I found this tube dangling in the left front wheelarch. Annother one that looks like a grease "nipple".*
Does anyone know what they are, hoping the pictures are clear enough?I have more detailed pictures but cant load them here and i cant find a reference in the manual. Thanks in advance.*
P.s: i owned a rover p5b coupe some years ago. Fascinating how long that Buick v8 engine has been around

Trace the tube back to where it starts, that will give you an Idea of what it is for, could be a washer bottle tube going to the headlight washers mounted on the front bar.
Put your pics in a folder on your desktop, go to Gallery (at the top of the page) and create an album, go to the browse button and find your pics and hit the upload button, if I can do it....., good luck, Regards Frank.
