    removing wheel arches

    just wondering if anyone has any tips on removing wheel arches to replace as mine are cracked and ill be damned outside of a gas axe i can remove the plastic rivets attaching them seem to have a screw thread on the backside of them?

    To my knowledge, there are 2 methods of attaching these, both with plastic rivets.

    One rivet has a plastic pin through the center. This must be knocked through and the rivet can then be removed with a trim clip removing tool. Keep these rivets and replace the plastic pin with a suitable sized stainless self tapper.

    The second type of plastic rivet has a flat head insert. This insert must be removed separately first with a trim clip remover and the rivet can then be removed. These can be quite stubborn but you can usually get them out without breaking the rivet. Again, stainless self tappers work with these as well.

    cheers for that! they are definitely the 2nd kind, flat head insert. ill give your suggestion a go!
