    Front door lock assembly issue

    Hi all,

Im currently working on a 110 where, for whatever reason, the front door locks lock assemblies have been welded so the interior lock button is jammed in its housing and cannot move in the slightest and I nor can the link rod.

Im just wondering whether I can simply replace the arm/locking mechanism which is connected to the lock button by link rods or do I have to replace the whoke I assembly.

I hope i have described this correctly and any assistance is appreciated.

Don't know if this will help.
My passenger side door will unlock from the inside.
    unlocks using the key.
But to lock it from the outside I have to open the door, press the external button, press the lock button down and the close whilst still pressing the exterior button.
Haven't look any further into it.

Initially, I was going in to change over the lock barrels and didn't really thing about the interior lock not moving at all until I saw where the link rod connected to the assembly arm.

If I change the door lock barrels, will I be able to lock the door using the key even though the internal door lock button is basically welded to the assembly in th eunlocked position?

    Thanks again,

I think you will need to fix the stuck internal button first.
What do you mean by welded ?

Well, it is stuck because the latch, in whch the control rod connects the door button to the lock assembly, has been welded into a position so it remains in the unlock position (and can't lock or move as as result). The stuck door button is due to this. I'll be replacing the button and housing as I found on one that as a stop gap, these were also glued together. Previous owners didn't seem to have door keys.
