TD5 Injector replacement
Out of curiosity rather than a necessity.
Can a TD5 Injector be swapped out with another without any ECU re- programming?. I've searched here & Google & there are contradicting answers. Mine is an earlier non flash able ECU.

Yes, but without updating the injector code it may not run as well as it could. the injector code is a calabration code that enables the ECU to provide exact tuning.

The code indicates the degree of variation in three parameters:
- injection start time
- injection end time
- idle performance
The engine will run but the chances that injection timing will be right are slim.
