Seems to be Damo, I rotated the verniers into several position at both ends and got the same readings.
Ok ta. So i have an aulroian willing to do the machining, and that was his question and was concerned about that and the tolerances.
Now easiest way for him to machine it is in 1200mm lengths then cut to suit.
Sooo seen as though mine is not apart to measure (and won't be for a while) i need someone to confirm the OD required.
He also said due to the age of the machine and length of the cut, tolerances may not be exact to the .01mm, but i can't see this as an issue.
What do you want confirmed? I have a S3 sals with the long tube cut in half. I can measure in a couple of weeks.
