I'd prob be using the older 1.003:1 unit as need the gearing, and I think it's a given that it would have to have Mr Ashcrofts new center diff assembly....![]()
So, we saying that a 1.003:1 with taper roller bearings, and the fancy Truetrac style center diff would handle the Cummins..... Just bolt it behind it and see I guess!!![]()
ls1 has less torque than a tweaked 4BD1T.

I'd imagine the stress and shock loading in that race would exceed just about all trouble we could give it
